Good Things Come To Those Who Never Quit!
If you know anything about me: I love musicals of any kind and I also love to make lists. I guess I like to think of my life as an unofficial road map that dictates what will happen to me in the near future. John Lennon once wrote, "I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." So often I find that creativity is stifled instead of encouraged. When I interned as a 7th grade teacher I remember I taught a career unit. For this many of my students dreamed big and stated that they wanted to be neuro-surgeons, professional athletes, teachers, chefs, and my very favorite a Broadway actor (specifically Aaron Burr in "Hamilton").
After the Memorial Day festivities I went into the city to go on a date. I am not going to go into drastic details but let me just put it plainly he wasn't the one, but on my way home I did see something remarkable advertised on the train, it said "Good Things Come to Those Who Wait." Gee, I hope so, because I'm growing impatient, but I fear the struggle has just begun, and isn't getting ready for the prom the best part? Maybe life is all about getting ready for something to happen, they say to focus on the "process not the outcome."
